What Happened To Snapchat? Is Snapchat Down Or The Issues Solved?
The recent Google outage took down chunks of the internet with it. Snapchat seemed to be the worst hit amongst all the other apps. So what happened to Snapchat in the first place? Is Snapchat down?
Snapchat’s application server had crashed and is still down in many places. Snapchat still doesn’t seem to have shaken off the post effects of the outage and had some issues with its functioning since then. This outage took out many leading apps and websites with it. (These apps and websites were reliant or rather associated with Google for its technology). Power disruption caused on Sunday was supposed to be the main reason behind the issue causing server failure.
Not only other apps ads websites were affected but Googles own prime services like Gmail and Youtube were also minorly being disrupted. Snapchat and Uber were amongst the top few apps that were hit along with Discord.

Are the Snapchat issues resolved?
The services of Google appear to have achieved stability. As for now, there are no reports of an outage or server failure since the day it was last reported. Even Google stated that the root cause of the problem had been identified and is being taken care off.
But there are other Apps too who seem to be still struggling with many reported failures such as user login problems into the app for more than a day after the issues really began.
Problems report have slowly started to fade away. Yet, there are still very few reports of problems posted by users on social media and other channels. Australia, the US and some countries in Europe are from where a majority of complaints had come from. It could mainly be because the rest of the users from other parts of the world were asleep because of the time zone differences.
No sooner did the incident had occurred than Snapchat tweeted about the problems they were facing and had also let everyone know that they were working on it. However, no official statement has been released yet stating that the problems were resolved or perhaps from when the service would be starting again.
On the same tweet, more than 1,00,000 really frustrated users of Snapchat who made it a point to complain about the app not working and also the other features they are facing in the app.
Perhaps a majority of people were afraid of losing their loyalty type rewards. These rewards are what the users used to get after visiting the app over and over again. The company made a statement regarding the same. Asking anyone who was affected to report such a thing so that their account can be restored soon.
Snapchat is one of the most widely used social media service (App) has prompted the company to take the necessary steps in order to make it error-free and user-friendly. So in no time, one would be able to use all the applications & services which were hit during Googles outage.
